4分の1に日本人のルーツを持つジェイラニは大学卒業後、家族のルーツと文化を再発見するため日本に移住。拠点を東京へと移す。
シェイクスピアなど古典作品から新作映画まで、彼女の出演の場は多岐にわたる。
Jalani Blankenship is a versatile American actress based in Tokyo whose work in theater and film spans internationally. A graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a BA in Theatre, she brings a rigorous academic foundation to her presence and emotional depth on stage and in film.
Her previous work ranges from classical and Shakespearean texts to premiering in new play festivals, in addition to a variety of genre films.
Blankenship’s recent screen appearances include the award-winning short film Last Cigarette (2024), and Jane (2019). On stage, she has performed most recently as Ophelia in Hamlet and Mary in The Little Fellow.
Her artistic practice emphasizes collaborative process, physical storytelling, and the transformative potential of performance.
